"Scorpio" is the combined musical talents of Samantha and Brett Mooney. They have been entertaining audiences all over South East Queensland for the past 11 years and continue to be in high demand for public venues and private functions.

As well as having long residencies at many of the major hotels on the Gold Coast, "Scorpio" also specialise in wedding entertainment. Not only do they deliver outstanding performances, they also take great care to ensure all requirements for the clientele are met. They have a very professional approach to all aspects of the booking procedure, and this flows right through to the performance itself. "Scorpio" have enjoyed entertaining at weddings for many years, and are regularly sought after due to "word of mouth".

Samantha has been performing in South East Queensland for the past 10 years. Her love of singing was evident from an early age and came naturally from both sides of the family. Her father, Kevin Jolley, was part of the vocal group "The Dominoes" who performed weeknights on "In Melbourne Tonight" with Graham Kennedy. Her Uncle, Kevin Kidney, was a champion boy soprano.

Samantha’s career began during her teens when she was in demand as a "wedding singer". After joining forces with Brett to form "Scorpio" she gained a big following for her captivating vocals and harmonies.

Songwriting was a natural progression and Samantha is currently working on original material for her debut solo album, which should be complete by late 2004.
Her first original track, Love of my Life was specifically written for a wedding and captures the emotion and happiness that people in love experience.
Love of my life won 3rd place in it’s category at the prestigeous Australian Song Writers Awards for 2003/2004.

Samantha completed a live recording for Gold Coast ABC radio that included 3 original tracks and a cover version of Dusty Springfields "I only want to be with you" that went to
air in August 2004.

Brett Mooney

Born in Sydney, Brett has been wowing audiences both in Australia and overseas for 27 years. His voice and guitar have taken him to many varied places such as Canada and Los Angeles where he developed his song writing and recording.

With his professional attitude and easy manner Brett takes great pride in his performances. Attention to detail is a high priority and Brett enjoys a great relationship with Venue Managers and private clientele alike. Brett's drive and professionalism have been an underscore for the success of Scorpio. Scorpio and Mystique continue to enjoy repeat and word of mouth business on a regular basis, and have endeared themselves to many agents looking for talented, reliable acts.
